Solar Developer Calls FERC Orders ‘Abuse of Discretion’

A solar project developer is challenging rulings from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission denying the developer’s claims that a regional transmission organization’s evaluations for a generation facility were unreasonable.

Cage Ranch Solar LLC told the US Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit on Tuesday that FERC’s orders violate the Federal Power Act and the Administrative Procedure Act, in addition to being arbitrary, capricious, and an abuse of discretion.
